Testimonials |
"Personally, SUT stands for pushing the frontier of knowledge, technology, and investment in our future. I’ve enjoyed meeting, interacting, and listening to professionals who have decades of experience yet passionate about what they do, while passing down the knowledge. Mingling with young professionals and being a part of something great feels rewarding, knowing that all the planning of events ends up making some student’s life a little easier and better than it was. It’s also an avenue to be a leader at your own pace, and learn from your peers equally. Life is about continuously learning and SUT offers that, life-long learning opportunities." - Olusola Ilupeju, Geosyntec Consultants
"The Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) provided me a great platform to launch my career and build a valuable network of passionate professionals. As a part of the Young Professionals (YP) committee of the SUT-US I was introduced to many areas of the offshore industry through seminars, webinars, and conversations with professionals who have dedicated large portions their careers in developing their respective fields." - Roneet Das, NGI
"I believe that the stage of our careers that requires the most resiliency is at a student and young professional levels since this transition sets the first ground for our future. This volunteering experience is not only gratifying when I think about how many scholarships we get sponsor or how much are we contributing to YPs, but it is also enlightening to understand that the challenges I’ve faced are also experienced by other colleagues, which I already admire for their strength. Collaborating with very talented and accomplished experts on my field have lifted my confidence and pushed my limits to pull out the best of my management and professional performance. The SUT community makes it easy to find the motivation to keep volunteering." - Patricia Varela, Geosyntec Consultants
