An Introduction to Subsea Tieback Technology and how it was engineered

This presentation will introduce the audience to the Technologies, Equipment and Services that define the Subsea Tieback business. Also, the Webinar will describe why and how these technologies have evolved over time. This event corresponds to an introductory session on Tieback Technology, and it will have follow-up sessions organized in the future by the SUT Student Chapter at Texas A&M. 

About the presenter:

 
Don Wells graduated from Texas A&M with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1979.  He retired 5 years ago as a Sr. Subsea Engineering Advisor from Hess Corporation's Developments organization.  Prior to joining Hess, he worked for ConocoPhillips for 27 years where he held Engineering & Management positions on numerous subsea development projects around the world. Preceding Conoco he worked for Vetco Offshore as a design engineer.
 
Mr. Wells is founder and Chairman of the Subsea Tieback Foundation whose mission is to introduce students, parents and educators to the opportunities in the offshore and subsea industry.
