About the presenters:
Sonny Llave, Director Intelligent Operations Global Business Development and Technical Consulting, Wood Americas
Sonny Llave is Director of Intelligent Operations and Global Business Development and Technical Consulting at Wood Americas. He Provides technical and business service in the areas of flow assurance, steady-state and transient pipeline hydraulics analysis, including pressure surge analysis, and deployment of fit-for-purpose production management systems. Strong background in flow assurance, fluid property and phase behavior of complex fluid mixture, EOS modeling and field-scale applications.
Sonny has solid experience in project management, technical consulting, R&D services, and business development, with a proven track record in conducting cutting-edge research and product/ process/systems field deployment, including laboratory design, bench scale to field applications.
He has over 30 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, and 20 years with Wood. He has two bachelors degrees in Industrial and Management Engineering and Chemical Engineering (both with honors) from De La Salle University, and a Masters and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
Shirley Ike, Business Manager Americas - Flow Assurance, Wood Americas
Shirley is the Flow Assurance and Process Business Manager for Wood Americas. She has been in the oil and gas industry for over 12 years. Her career has spanned two geographical locations, starting in the UK and moving to the US in 2012.
Her professional portfolio encompasses business management and technical leadership on numerous projects of varying sizes and all phases of design, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed engineering. She has extensive experience with flow assurance issues. She has worked extensively on various systems, both onshore and offshore, touching on all aspects of field development pertaining to production, chemical, gas, and water injection systems.?
Shirley is an avid tennis player and also loves to play football (aka soccer) but purely for fitness purposes. Travel and exploration are some of her passions and she believes it has helped her learn more about other cultures and better understand the different backgrounds other people come from. She said, “There is a big world out there, and I am only a speck! I have touched on every continent, with a varying number of countries within each, except for Antarctica, but that would be very cold!”
