Geotechnical fundamentals of pipe-soil interaction for deepwater subsea pipelines

This half-day course will focus on site investigation and design aspects of pipe-soil interaction (PSI) for deepwater subsea pipelines. Specific topics include in-situ testing and soil sampling methods, laboratory testing to quantify soil parameters for inputs to PSI analysis, analytical methods for estimating static and dynamic pipeline embedment and monotonic and cyclic axial and lateral PSI, an overview of axial walking and lateral buckling mitigation techniques, and case studies from monitoring of operational pipeline data. It is designed for engineers with some experience in seabed geotechnics, as well as project managers and other technical professionals working in the area of subsea pipeline design.

More information to come about the speakers and the agenda!
