Colin Johnston

Colin is the Managing Director of SeaNation LLC headquartered in Houston. He has been resident in Houston since 1997 and a member of SUT since 1998. Prior to that he lived in Aberdeen and London. Colin is an active member of the subsea community in Houston. He is on the board of the Deepwater Intervention Forum and also represents SeaNation as a supporting partner with Offshore Network focused on subsea intervention and decommissioning. Colin has been involved with API for 10 years serving on the 17A, 17D and 17G committees. Colin is a 25 year member of the SPE and also part of the OTC organizing committee via Marine Technology Society. He has over 27 years industry experience covering well services and has focused on subsea well operations since 2001. Colin is a mining engineering graduate from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and has a masters in Subsea Engineering from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, Houston.
